Data Deletion Instructions
Effective date: 21 August 2026. Last updated: 3 September 2026.
This page explains how any Postsie user can have their data deleted — free of charge, regardless of where they live. Postsie is a service of UAB Gildium, Polocko g. 17-113, LT-01205 Vilnius, Lithuania. Deletion is available to every user, is never charged for, and does not depend on your region, subscription status, or any other characteristic.
Every deletion described on this page can be requested by email today. The in-app and automated methods described below are planned features that are not yet available.
1. What you can ask us to delete
- Everything: your entire Postsie account and all data associated with it; or
- Connected-platform data only: only the data Postsie obtained from a connected Facebook Page, Instagram professional account, or (when TikTok support becomes available) TikTok account — metadata, content, media, insights, and, once the planned comment and unified inbox features are available, comments and messages — by disconnecting that account while keeping your Postsie account.
2. Delete your entire account
By email: send a request to privacy@postsie.com (ideally from the email address on your account) with the subject “Delete my account”. We aim to acknowledge the request within five business days and to complete verified requests within one month unless applicable law permits an extension and we tell you.
In the app (planned; not yet available): open your account settings, choose Delete account, and approve the confirmation notification. Deletion starts immediately after you approve, following the sequence in section 5.
We may use proportionate identity verification to protect you and other customers. We will never ask for your password, OAuth token, or card number as verification.
3. Delete connected-platform data only
From inside Postsie: open your account settings and disconnect the Facebook Page, Instagram account, or (when TikTok support becomes available) TikTok account — it is a single action. Postsie immediately revokes the stored OAuth credentials for that connection. Automatic deletion of the metadata, content, media, insights, and any comments and messages obtained from that connection on the timeline in section 5 is planned and not yet available; until then, email privacy@postsie.com after disconnecting to have that data deleted.
From inside the platform: on Facebook, remove Postsie under Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or the equivalent Instagram “Apps and websites” setting); once TikTok support becomes available, on TikTok remove Postsie under Settings and privacy → Security → Apps and services (or the equivalent menu). Removing Postsie there revokes its access to your account. Until Postsie’s automated deletion callback is available (planned; not yet available), removing the app does not by itself delete the data Postsie already holds — email privacy@postsie.com to have it deleted. Once the callback is available, Postsie deletes the data obtained from that account automatically when the platform sends the resulting data deletion request.
Individual messages (once the planned unified inbox is available): when a participant deletes a message on a connected platform and the platform notifies Postsie, Postsie deletes its stored copy of that message without any request from you.
4. Cancelling instead of deleting
Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting your data. Cancellation stops future billing and is covered by the Refund and Cancellation Policy (postsie.com/legal/refund-policy); your account and content remain until you request deletion under this page.
5. What happens after a verified deletion request
- Immediately: access is disabled, sessions are invalidated, Meta OAuth credentials and other connected-provider tokens are revoked, any subscription cancellation is initiated, and queued or scheduled work is stopped.
- Within 24 hours: active database rows and media — including any stored messages and comments, once those planned features are available — are removed.
- Within 7 days: object-storage remnants are removed and any export archives expire.
- Within 30 days: encrypted backups expire.
6. What may remain, and why
Postsie retains financial and accounting records for 10 years as required by Lithuanian accounting law, and may retain anonymised product and audit data for up to 13 months. These records are kept only to meet legal, accounting, and security obligations; they are not used to keep your profile or content alive, and anonymised records can no longer be linked to you.
7. Contact
Questions about deletion: privacy@postsie.com. You may also complain to your competent data-protection regulator; in Lithuania this is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI).
