Cookie Policy

Effective date: 21 August 2026. Last updated: 3 September 2026.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser.

2. Essential cookies

Postsie — both the public pages at postsie.com and the signed-in application — uses the following essential cookies and security technologies. They are strictly necessary to provide the service you request and are always active:

CookiePurposeType / legal characterLifetime
Session cookieKeeps you signed in and maintains your session state.Essential — strictly necessarySession / short-lived
CSRF / XSRF tokenProtects forms and requests against cross-site request forgery.Essential — strictly necessarySession

3. Analytics and marketing cookies — only with your consent

Postsie uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics on postsie.com, and loads the Meta Pixel to measure the results of our own Meta advertising. Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it; marketing cookies let us see whether visitors who arrive from our Meta advertising go on to sign up. They are set only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner:

CookiePurposeType / legal characterLifetime
_gaGoogle Analytics — distinguishes visitors to measure site usage.Analytics — set only with your consentUp to 13 months
_ga_* (measurement ID)Google Analytics — keeps session state for usage measurement.Analytics — set only with your consentUp to 13 months
_fbpMeta Pixel — distinguishes browsers to measure the results of our Meta advertising.Marketing — set only with your consent90 days
_fbcMeta Pixel — records the Meta ad click that brought you to postsie.com; set only when you arrive from a Meta ad.Marketing — set only with your consent90 days

Analytics data is processed by Google under Google’s terms. We use it in aggregated form to measure site traffic and performance; we do not use it for advertising and do not sell it. Meta Pixel data is processed by Meta under Meta’s terms; we use it only to measure whether our own Meta advertising brings visitors and sign-ups to postsie.com, and we do not sell it.

4. Your consent choices

The cookie banner offers two choices of equal prominence: “Accept all” and “Decline”. Closing the banner without choosing has the same effect as Decline.

  • Accept all: the analytics and marketing cookies in section 3 are set; Google Analytics measures your visit and the Meta Pixel loads.
  • Decline (or closing the banner): no analytics or other non-essential cookies are set. The essential cookies in section 2 remain active, because the service cannot work without them. Google Analytics operates in consent mode and may receive only limited, cookieless, aggregated technical signals that do not identify you and store nothing on your device. The Meta Pixel does not load. Postsie’s own operational server logs, used for security and reliability as described in the Privacy Policy, do not use cookies and continue regardless of your choice.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on the site; withdrawing consent stops analytics and marketing cookies from that point on. Your choice never affects your access to the service.

5. Third-party cookies in payment and sign-in flows

Stripe may set cookies on billing and checkout pages strictly for payment processing and fraud prevention, under Stripe’s own privacy policy. If you use optional Google sign-in, Google sets cookies on Google’s own pages during authentication under Google’s policies. Postsie does not control either provider’s cookies.

6. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, and manage analytics and marketing cookies through the cookie banner and settings link. Blocking essential cookies will prevent signing in and using the service, because they are what keeps your session authenticated and secure.

7. Changes and contact

We will provide appropriate notice of material changes to this policy. Questions: privacy@postsie.com.
